U`s Attitude Pleases Boss

Colchester United manager Geraint Williams could not fault his players` attitude as the unlucky U`s suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves last night.

The U`s, who have only taken three points from a possible twenty-one in the past few weeks, were unfortunate not to get at least a point from the game at Molineux.

The home side won it thanks to Stephen Elliott`s third goal of the season, as the U`s hit the post twice. This is a result which leaves the U`s in 20th place, one point off the dreaded relegation zone.

Post-match Williams said, "The players tonight were magnificent. At the start we hit the post; at the end we hit the post - and in between we were unfortunate to concede.
'We are disappointed with the result but very pleased with the performance and the application."

The Welshman also admitted, "We are still scoring and being positive - but we have just got to tighten up a bit."
