Elokobi: I Still Want To Leave

Yesterday`s goalscorer Gorge Elokobi had insisted he still want to walk away from Colchester United come January.

The 19-year-old full back told the press after the game, as is reported in today`s Daily Mirror, that he was relieved to make his first-team return after a lengthy absence, brought on by a loss of form.

"I know there are clubs out there watching me but I've got to be level-headed and just help my club pick up a lot of points," he said.

"I haven't been playing recently, which has been a bit frustrating, but the gaffer said just to keep working hard and I would get back in the team.

"I got my chance and I think I've given the gaffer a big dilemma before the match on Tuesday (against Watford)."

On his goal, the defender said: "It might not have been the best-taken goal I've scored but they all count.

"It hit me on the shoulder and the face and I looked around for the ball, thinking it must be in the back of the net, but it was in front of me. I showed quick reactions, got there first, and I was pleased to see it go in."

Cheerio you are not good enough anyway!

He's shot himself in the foot. I don't believe anybody wants to sign him - Williams says there have been no offers - and nobody will gamble on him. His contact is up in summer, he'll be a good free signing for someone.

this lad is talking ********* - people want solid full-bakcs mid-season, not some party boy dancing down the line watching their winger skin him alive! cash in lads!!
Yuilly
That is a most honest assesment of the situation as there is likely to be!
