Ex-U`s Man on the Move Again?

Ex-Colchester full-back Greg Halford could be re-united with former U`s boss Phil Parkinson as media reports claim Charlton are lining up a bid for the Sunderland man.

Charlton manager Alan Pardew, who Parkinson is assistant too, are reported to be willing to part with one million pounds to recruit the Colchester youth product.

Sunderland boss Roy Keane may be willing to offload the 23-year-old to raise funds to strengthen his squad as he attempts to steer the Black Cats away from the Premier League trapdoor.

Halford is currently out-of-favour at the Stadium of Light, playing second fiddle to Dean Whitehead, so may be prepared to drop down a league in a bid to be playing.

Halford left Layer Road this time last year to join Reading, where he only managed three substitute appearances.

Roy Keane splashed out three point five million pounds to secure his services at the end last season, but may now look to retrieve that money.

There had even been an EADT report recently also suggesting that Colchester's owner Robbie Cowling would be willing to trebble Halford's wages in an attempt to bring him back to Essex and the U's.

You would think that Keane would want more than 1 mil for him considering he payed 3.5 mil for him...
