Fox Arrival Could Seal Elokobi Exit

George Elokobi could sign for Wolves this month, subject to Daniel Fox completing his protracted move from Walsall.

Want-away defender Elokobi has not been an automatic choice since he reportedly upset U`s manager Geraint Williams over his reaction to being dropped for poor form earlier in the season, and is now also a target of Watford, Ipswich, Norwich and Celtic, among others.

The young full-back, who scored in a rare start against Sheffield Wednesday at the start of December, has not been allowed to leave due to a lack of cover, but Colchester may now need finance the accepted Fox bid, which could be anything up to £500,000 with add-ons.

Elokobi`s agent Eddie Duah is said in the Express & Star to have held talks with the Layer Road club this week over the Cameroonian`s future, but it is unknown if Wolves will make a firm offer.
