Gerken and Duguid Available

Club Captain Karl Duguid and Goal Keeper Dean Gerken are reported to be available for the U's for the visit of Hull this weekend.

Gerken was forced to leave the field sustaining a Head Injury last weekend away to Bristol City, while Duguid was 'Rested'.

Gerken was replaced by Cousins and Duguid by new signing Phil Ifil who arrived from Spurs only a few days earlier.

Ifil will be keen to keep the place he has already staked a good claim for as his, and with rumours still circulating about Doogie moving on to Hull, it will be interesting to see who manager Geriant Williams picks for Saturday.

Glad Gerken is ok, is an important player for us. John White and Phil Ifil played very well at Bristol no need to bring Doogie back in to starting XI.

I think that karl should he is the captain and we need r leader on the pitch it makes us look bad leaving r captain on the beach when he fit and he plays with his heart and not his wallet like a lot of players these days . duguid has been at colchester for years and is loyal
