Williams: Not Just Left, Alright!

Colchester United are not a club in need of a new left back before the closure of the transfer window in four days, according to manager Geraint Williams.

The U`s missed out on new Coventry signing Daniel Fox, a left-sided player and had looked resigned to losing George Elokobi during month January, making the need for a new signing almost on that side look almost imperative.

But Williams, who this weekend went scouting for potential targets, has revealed that he will not panic-buy in that particular position. The Welshman said: "We were looking at Daniel because he was a left-back who could also play left-midfield and left-side centre-half.

"We are not solely looking at a left-back, we just felt that he had a number of things going for him, in terms of age, ability and potential to improve."

Well Elokobi and Granville aren't up to it, John White has shown he can play there though.
