U's V Hull: New Date Confirmed

Tuesday March 18 is the confirmed new date for Colchester's called-off Championship home clash with Hull City.

The fixture was postponed in January due to a water-logged pitch and a war of words erupted between the two clubs, Colchester presumably still mindful that Hull City is recently a preferred destination of so many ex U`s.

Hull`s Phil Duffen called Colchester`s handling of the situation last month 'incompetent`, but the Football League rendered all debate on an immediate residual as meaningless when they refused the request to hold the match a week later.

Colchester will now face three games in a seven-day period when Hull come to town in between the hectic fixtures against Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday.
