Bankole In At U`s

Aidan Davison`s former Premier League compatriot at Bradford City, Ademola Bankole, has been drafted in by Colchester to help solve their defensive frailties.

The 38-year-old had previously played at Brentford and an energy stopper and also enjoyed spells with Queens Park Rangers and Grimsby Town during his playing days.

He comes in at Colchester until the end of the season due to Davison`s recent shoulder operation; the U`s player-coach is currently recovering and hopes to play for the club again before his scheduled retirement kicks in at the end of the season.

Davison, who now has a helping hand, is just one appearance away from completing his Colchester United century.
