Two In A Row? - Tranmere Preview

COLCHESTER UNITED will be hoping to make it consecutive wins, with tomorrow's trip to Tranmere Rovers.

Following last week's 2-0 win, Aidy Boothroyd's first in charge, the U's will be looking to push on up League One.

The home side have endured a tough start to the season, under manager John Barnes, but will be hopeful for a change in fortunes.

Vital Quotes:

U's chief Boothroyd told BBC Essex: 'Tranmere are in a transitional period and the team that are in a transition

'When you're in transition it can either click for you some days and other days it just doesn't work, so we've got to make sure we make it our day.'

He added: 'You've got to kind of focus on yourself, be aware and respectful of the opposition, but it's all about us.'

Tranmere Rovers Team News:

Rovers midfield pair Alan Mahon and Chris Shuker are both likely to start, as Barnes looks to get a win.

Stopper Luke Daniels (knee) is hopeful of being fit, however, Bas Savage (Achilles) misses out.

While star duo Pat Baldwin (leg) and Ashley Vincent (ankle) are both still out.

The game comes to soon for right-back Lee Beevers (shoulder) and fellow defender Paul Reid too.
