Swindon Town 2-2 The U's
Colchester twice battled back from behind to earn another impressive point at the weekend at Swindon Town
An improved run that we've been on since our change of manager continued as we showed we don't back down easily anymore as we twice came back from behind to secure a 2-2 draw at County Ground.
We really should have gone ahead when Gavin Massey picked out Cardiff City loanee Rhys Healey left with only Swindon 'keeper Wes Foderingham to beat, which he did but Massimo Luongo got back to clear off the line.
Barely a couple of minutes later from this let off Swindon then went up the other end to take the lead, Amari'i Bell passed to Michael Smith (27) who made it one-nil, a lead that was taken into the half time break.
Minutes into the second half it was one-one when Healey (47) found space in the box to beat Foderingham again, with no one clearing this time.
Luongo got passed Sean Clohessy to pick out Smith (48) with him scoring his second of the game to restore the lead just a minute later.
Again though we weren't behind for long, swiftly we reacted when Swindon failed to clear with Massey (52) finishing to make it two-two.
Sam Walker did well to save from Nathan Byrne as the home side went in search of a winner but there weren't anymore goals.
